UX/UI Design

I create intuitive, human-centered experiences

My design process is rooted in research, empathy, diverge thinking and iteration, ensuring that every solution is not only functional but also meaningful and enjoyable for users.

Research

Understanding user needs through interviews, surveys, and data analysis to gather insights that inform design decisions.

Problem framing

Defining the core challenge with the use of empathy to ensure a clear understanding of the issue to be addressed.

Ideation

Brainstorming and sketching possible solutions using divergent thinking to explore innovative and human-centered ideas.

Vision state

Defining a clear, inspiring future state for the project, aligning stakeholders on goals and desired outcomes.

Wireframing

Creating low-fidelity sketches or digital layouts to visualize the structure and functionality of the design.

Prototyping

Developing interactive and high-fidelity models of the design to simulate user interactions and gather feedback.

User-testing

Conducting sessions with real users to observe interactions, identify pain points, and refine the design.

Implementation & Iteration

Collaborating with developers to ensure fidelity to the vision and usability standards.
and finally continuously refining the product based on user feedback and performance data to enhance user experience and meet evolving needs.

From sketch to design

Strong user experiences begin with clear intent.
In this section, I showcase how initial wireframe sketches evolve into UI designs. This process highlights the progression from rough concepts to refined interfaces, demonstrating how thoughtful planning and iteration bring ideas to life.

Sketching allows for rapid exploration of ideas and layouts, helping to quickly identify what works best for the user. As the design evolves, these early concepts are refined into detailed interfaces that balance aesthetics with functionality. This journey from sketch to creation ensures that every design decision is intentional and rooted in user needs.

Bridging the gap: A quick redesign with lasting impact

The power of CSS and HTML extends beyond aesthetics—it can drive impactful, user-centered improvements even within tight constraints. While working on a full redesign for a shipping company’s outdated website, it became clear that a complete rebuild would take several months. To address immediate usability concerns, I implemented a rapid ‘facelift’ using only CSS, enhancing the visual experience without altering the site’s core structure.

In addition to visual improvements, accessibility was a key priority. I replaced image-based headers with live, readable text and ensured all colors met accessibility standards. These changes significantly improved the experience for all users, especially those relying on assistive technologies, while bridging the gap until the new system could be fully implemented.

Nuggets of work

Great design is about crafting a seamless, end-to-end experience.

To achieve this, it’s essential to take a holistic view of the user journey.
Thoughtfully designed user flows play a critical role in ensuring that every interaction feels intuitive, purposeful, and aligned with user needs. By mapping out these flows, I’m able to connect the dots between strategy and execution, creating experiences that not only look good but work beautifully.

Effective wireframes are the blueprint of design, transforming conceptual ideas into clear, structured layouts.

They establish the hierarchy and key interactions early in the process, ensuring that every design decision aligns with the overall user experience.
Detailed annotations accompany these wireframes, offering the development team clear guidance and context to accurately translate designs into functional products. By serving as a conduit between strategy and implementation, well-crafted wireframes pave the way for a more efficient, intuitive, and user-centric digital journey.

It’s a privilege to guide a design through every stage of its evolution—from initial concepts to final implementation. Bringing a user interface to life means balancing form and function, ensuring every visual element supports a seamless, intuitive experience. I take pride in crafting interfaces that are not only visually engaging but also aligned with user needs and technical feasibility, resulting in designs that are ready to perform in the real world.
